1. To coordinate industry members as a unified group when dealing with regulators, standard setters, international agencies, technical committees, the public health community, other organizations and the general public.



2. To promote and encourage common standards, directives, educational materials and literature that facilitate innovation and proliferation of technology that prevents reuse of syringes including but not limited to auto-disable technology. In this role the association will serve as observer, and advisor to those agencies which define standards, --- ISO, Eucomed.



3. To promote the understanding and advancement of safe injection technology which prevents reuse of syringes.



4. To disseminate information of common benefit to all members.



5. To promote mutually beneficial relationships and to serve as a liaison between agencies promoting, regulating and procuring safety injection technology including but not limited to auto-disable technology.



6. To promote the highest ethical standards, to disseminate information concerning bid processes, regulations and changes in standards affecting association members derived from governmental or statutory bodies.



7. To serve as a watchdog ensuring caregiver and patient safety when transferring technology worldwide.
