- Cooperating with ISO and WHO on the development of international standards for AD and re-use prevention devices
- Cooperating with WHO on quality assessment and quality management systems
- Supporting the PEPFAR initiative that leads in procuring syringes with re-use prevention features for the curative sector
- Promoting adequate procedures for field assessments, procurement and evaluations
- Supporting UN policy statements on AD syringes and SIGN’s “No Harm Policy”
- Advocating and complying with simple, transparent and open bid processes by all procuring organisations, including the UN and national government authorities
- Encouraging innovation and healthy competition
